Construction Management Technology Transfer Information

Students who are considering transferring to a four-year institution with a B.S. degree in construction management should be mindful of the following bullet items below.

  • Students who follow a transfer track could end up taking more credits needed to graduate with an AAS degree versus students who are enrolled in the AAS degree.
  • Students need to be aware that additional credit beyond the number (68) needed to complete an AAS Construction Management Technology degree could result in financial aid not paying for the course. It is the student’s responsibility to consult with the financial aid office or other sources that are paying for student classes.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to consult with four-year institutions to ensure a seamless transfer prior to taking any of the listed courses on this sheet.
  • The courses listed on this page are simply a recommendation for consideration.
  • Transferring an AAS degree into a four-year institution could result in a loss of credit at that four-year institution. For example, a student who earns an AAS degree in Construction Management Technology with 68 credits may only get half the credits at a four-year institution when he/she transfers.

Recommended transfer courses to take prior to transferring to a four-year institution for a BS degree in construction management.
