A+ CompTIA Certification Exam Prep

CompTIA™ now offers a new A+ Certification as two cores and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has incorporated the latest training into a single course! Let us assist you in earning this highly sought-after industry recognized credential. Employers in today’s technology-driven world recognize and trust this performance-based credential which proves job candidates’ abilities to perform critical IT support functions in the workplace. This 100% online training combines the two components to prepare you to take the Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002) exams.

Registration Fee: $571.00 (includes registration fee, software fees and two exam vouchers)

CORE 1 Skills:

  • Hardware: identifying, using and connecting hardware components and devices
  • Operating Systems: Install and support Windows OS including command line & client support. Understand Mac, OS, Linux and mobile OS
  • Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot PC and mobile device issues including application security support

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Exam Prep

Get Cisco certified with classes at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s Cisco Networking Academy. Offered under the umbrella of Continuing Education, this fast-paced course is conducted online, and all course materials, assessments, and labs are available through our online learning management system. Students have access to expert instruction with the support of video and rich interactive media, participants learn, apply and practice CCNA knowledge and skills through a series of in-depth labs and simulated activities that reinforce learning. Upon completion of this training, learners will be prepared to take the Cisco CCNA certification exam.

Registration Fee: $180 (exam voucher not included)

The curriculum consists of three components, all in a single course:

CCNA: Introduction to Networks

You’ll Learn These Core Skills:

  • Build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
  • Configure routers, switches, and end devices to provide access to local and remote network resources and to enable end-to-end connectivity between remote devices.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Configure and troubleshoot connectivity a small network using security best practices

CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials

You’ll Learn These Core Skills:

  • Work with routers, switches and wireless devices to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Wireless LANs and Inter-VLAN routing.
  • Configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Explain how to support available and reliable networks using dynamic addressing and first-hop redundancy protocols.

CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation

You’ll Learn These Core Skills:

  • Work with routers and switches using OSPF in point-to-point and multiaccess networks.
  • Mitigate threats and enhance network security using access control lists and security best practices.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Understand virtualization, SDN, and how APIs and configuration management tools enable network automation.
Microsoft Office Specialist Excel Exam Prep
