Listen First Project

Listen First ImageThe Library and the Center for Teaching and Learning is excited to host Pearce Godwin and the Listen First Project during National Library Week. The Listen First Project (http://www.listenfirstprject.org), based in Cary, NC, is a global non-profit education group that facilitates greater understanding, respect and cooperation by encouraging people to listen to each other despite conflicting views. The Listen First Project has actively engaged and facilitated bridge-building events during and after several recent national incidents of civil-discord, including Charlottesville,VA. It has also held similar discussions at Duke University, Appalachian State, Wingate, and Campbell Universities. Godwin will facilitate two Listen First seminars on April 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. (South Campus) and 2:30 p.m. (North Campus). The South Campus session will be held in the Community Room 106. The North Campus session will be held in the Atrium of the 600 building.  The motivating and engaging seminars will cover skills and strategies that are vital for personal and professional growth and can be applied across all curricula.
