Certified Billing & Coding Specialist Course
The Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) course will prepare each student for entry-level positions as a medical billing clerk. All participants will gain knowledge about the medical billing cycle, revenue cycle management, medical coding and billing concepts. Each student will master the concept of medical billing and gain an understanding of guidelines as it pertains to the medical claims processing.
Did you know you can earn 3 credit hours toward an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Management Technology by passing the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) examination?
Registration Information
Tuition: $125
- This course is online. Students need to know their student ID and how to log into Blackboard.
Course Information/Certification
Each participant will be given assignments and tasks that will assist with theory and concepts.
Upon successful completion of this course, each student will receive a certificate of completion from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and will be eligible for the certification examination through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
