Borrowing Materials

Most members of the Rowan-Cabarrus community can borrow materials using their ID cards. Other patrons can obtain a Borrower’s Card to check out books.

Borrowing privileges, such as loan periods and item limits, vary slightly by patron type.

If an item isn’t returned or renewed when it is returned, it will be overdue and may incur a fine. You could also be charged for lost and damaged items. See the Frequently Asked Questions for details.

What do I use as credentials to login into "My Library Account?"

The credentials to sign in to “My Account” to renew Library items are your library account number and your four-digit pin. What should I do if I disagree with a charge or fine?

A Borrower may appeal if he/she believes Library charges are mistakenly assessed or extenuating circumstances warrant reduction or cancellation of the charges. Appeals should be made within 30 calendar days of the original Library charge. The borrower should read the instructions for filing an appeal and submit the appeal form if they disagree with any Library charges or fees.
