Mission

The Library at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College supports the mission of the college by being an active and vibrant partner in the learning experience; preparing information-literate citizens to compete and succeed in a 21st century workplace.

 

Goals & Objectives

  1.  Knowledge Sharing – To preserve and provide access to knowledge created in and by the college.
    1. The Library will preserve College history by organizing, maintaining, and increasing access to the College archives.
    2. The Library will increase the college community’s knowledge and interaction with archive resources.
  2. Accessible and Inclusive Learning Spaces – To provide accessible and inclusive learning spaces.
    1. The Library will provide accessible and inclusive virtual spaces that are responsive and adaptive to the learner’s evolving needs.
    2. The Library will provide accessible and inclusive physical spaces that are responsive and adaptive to the learner’s evolving needs.
  3. Academic Support – To support a culture of learning by providing appropriate resources and services.
    1. The Library will provide resources and services to support at-risk and marginalized students.
    2. The Library will provide resources and services to support on-site and off-site students.
  4. Awareness and Advocacy – To create opportunities to collaborate, inform, and support Library stakeholders.
