GED Graduation Information

Congratulations on achieving your GED! The faculty and staff of Rowan-Cabarrus celebrate your success. Our graduation ceremony is an event of significance and is accomplished with considerable planning to assure a memorable occasion of which you can be proud.

Please let us know of your intention to participate in the ceremony by calling 704-216-3510. Your GED diploma and official transcript will have been mailed to you from the North Carolina Community College System office in Raleigh, NC. The Rowan-Cabarrus diploma cover will be given to you at the graduation ceremony.

Cap, Gown, and Tickets Pick-up at the Graduation Fair

Each graduate who plans to attend the ceremony must purchase a Royal Blue gown and cap with a current tassel. Be sure to tell the cashier that you are a GED graduate. The cost for GED graduates is $10.00. You will receive your cap, gown, tassel, and 8 tickets in the Student Center outside the bookstore during the following dates and times:

Plan to spend at least 45 minutes at this event.

Also during this time, you will:

• complete a graduation survey
• verify the pronunciation of your name
• pick-up directions to the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center
• get portraits taken (for more information, contact GradImages)

Graduation Ceremony Day

Handbags and other personal items should be left with your guests or family members. Rowan-Cabarrus will not be responsible for items left in Event Center A or in the Arena.
