RCCC Welding Warriors: Where Welding is So Hot, It’s Cool!
June 19 – 23, 2023 and June 26 – 30, 2023

Hot off the press! Welding is a high-demand, high paying career with opportunities in a diverse array of working environments! Join us for 5 jam-packed days of fun as you experience a completely hands-on summer enrichment program that teaches you the basics skills necessary for welding metals in a fully functioning welding lab! The goal of this summer program is to provide an opportunity for students to experience the art of welding as they use SMAW (STICK) welding, GMAW (MIG) welding, oxy-acetylene torches, and CNC Plasma machines to create a take-home project they will want to keep forever!
Adventure into a Virtual Escape Room – Climbing Mt. Everest

Was George Mallory really the first to summit Mt. Everest? To find out, we’ll need to recover his missing camera – and live to tell the tale! Learn more about the earth’s tallest mountain, the basics of orienteering, and some of history’s bravest adventurers.
Adventure into a Virtual Escape Room – The Skeleton Key of Houdini

Our spookiest Escape Room yet! You’ll battle ghosts, goblins, fortune-tellers, and more… but are they real, or are they just elaborate tricks from a master magician? You’ll need to learn more about the great Houdini to find out.

Adventure into a Virtual Escape Room – The Tomb of Nefertari

Journey to Egypt in a perilous quest to recover the missing Senet board of Queen Nefertari! You’ll travel from a ransacked archive room to the busy streets of Cairo, then deep into the tombs of Egypt’s ancient rulers. It’s a race against time to escape with the prize!
Fashion Design & Sewing Camp

Learn to sew and tap into your creative potential this summer! If you are looking for a unique, creative, and skill-based camp experience – you’ve found it! From fiber to yarn to fabric, from 2D fabric to 3D clothing, you will learn about the history of fashion, garment design and pattern construction. You will choose a pattern, cut out the pieces, and sew the details. Then choose notions, embellishments and finishings to create your own design for a fashion show on the final day.
Optical Illuminations

Illuminate your mind with light, lasers, and optics! Bring abstract concepts into focus with amazing science, technology, engineering, and math as you learn the basics of reflection, refraction, and diffraction. Explore applications like spectroscopy, holography, and energy, and use your imagination creating some fun optical illusions.
Improv on the Go

Enjoy theatre, acting, comedy, improvisation, and drama? Come join the fun! You will study the fundamentals and concepts of improvisation through exercises that will help you develop a strong ensemble and character work. You will work on being creative, spontaneous, shedding nerves and anxiety, connecting with peers, being part of an audience, being brave, going with the flow, teamwork, quick thinking, and so many other important and fantastic skills. Our goal at Improv on The Go is to educate, entertain, and promote laughter… “When in doubt, have fun.”
