Rowan-Cabarrus Food & Resource Pantry

The purpose of the Rowan-Cabarrus Food & Resource Pantry is to provide temporary food assistance to Rowan-Cabarrus students at no cost. The College aims to decrease the impact of food insecurity on the academic success of our students.

Hours of Operation

While scheduling a time to access the pantry is best, student can visit the Navigation Station or Student Wellness Center within Student Advocacy Services during normal business hours.

  • Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Who can use the Food & Resource Pantry?

Currently registered students (curriculum and continuing education).

What is available in the Pantry?

A wide variety of non-perishable food as well as resources to help meet basic hygiene needs such as toiletries (soap, deodorant, shampoo, feminine hygiene products), bathroom tissue, a limited supply of socks, gloves and winter hats.

How often can a student use the Pantry?

Currently, there is not a limit to the number of visits to the pantry. However, our goal is to assist students with developing a comprehensive plan to meet their long term needs.

How can students access the Pantry?

Students can contact the Student Wellness Center to schedule an appointment by emailing or visiting the Navigation Station and ask to speak to someone in the Student Wellness Center. A person connected to the Pantry will arrange to meet students at the campus location and time most convenient to student (within college business operation hours).

Students are under no obligations whatsoever to make donation to the Pantry. However, we often receive questions from students and employees about how to donate to the Pantry. Donors can email to ask about what items are needed and arrange for pick-up of donations. Individuals can also drop off donations for the Pantry at North or South Campus Navigation Stations.
