Rowan-Cabarrus Community College IS Help Desk is available weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Friday by calling 704-216-7200 or request assistance by submitting a ticket. Should you need assistance after hours or on weekends, please contact the same IS Help Desk number (704-216-7200) to leave a voicemail message or submit a ticket. How do I login & access Blackboard, WebAdvisor and Email?

Student Login & Quick Link Guide – This quick reference shows you how your student ID is formatted and how to log into your student applications.

How do I connect to Rowan-Cabarrus Wireless network?
Rowan-Cabarrus provides wireless access to the internet on its campuses. To connect to the wireless network when you are on campus, follow the instructions located on the Rowan-Cabarrus website.

Students and Faculty/Staff:

  1. Connect to the RCCCPersonalDevice network.
  2. Log into the network.
    • For students, your username is your student username preceded by “Student”. (e.g., Student\doe.j.12345). Or your student email address. (e.g., doe.j.12345@student.rccc.edu).
    • For faculty and staff, your username is your first name, followed by a period, then your last name. (e.g., john.doe).
    • Your password is your Blackboard and email password.
    • You may reset your password by using the password reset form.

Visitors and General Public:

  1. Connect to the Wireless SSID RCCCPublic network.
  2. Enter a valid name and email address.
  3. Select a “mobile carrier”.
  4. Enter a valid phone number (no spaces or hyphens).
  5. Select the “Send Access Code” button.
  6. An access code will be sent to the cell phone number that was provided.
  7. Enter the access code that was sent to your mobile device, then select the “Sign In” button.
How do I reset my password?
Forgot your password page shows you how to reset your password for Blackboard, Email and WebAdvisor.
How do I clear my cache in my browser?
Each time you access a file through your web browser, the browser caches or stores it. Thus, the browser doesn’t have to newly retrieve files (including any images on the page) from the remote website each time you click the back or forward arrows. When files are changed on the website, sometimes your browser will continue to pull old images, stylesheets or other files from your cache, which causes the webpage to appear broken.

Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the gear shaped settings menu in the upper-right corner.
  2. Under “Safety” select “Delete browsing history…”.
  3. Check the box for “Temporary Internet Files” and uncheck all other boxes.
  4. Select the “Delete” button.

Google Chrome:

  1. Open the settings menu in the right corner.
  2. In the “More Tools” menu select “Clear browsing data…”.
  3. Check the box for “Cached images and files” and uncheck all other boxes.
  4. Select the “Clear Data” button.

Firefox:

  1. Open the Firefox menu in the top right corner.
  2. Under Library select “History”, then select “Clear Recent History…”.
  3. Expand the “Details” section in the popup window.
  4. Check the box for “Cache” and uncheck all other boxes.
  5. Change the “Time range to clear:” drop down to “Everything”.
  6. Select the “Clear Now” button.

Safari for Mac:

  1. In the top menu, select “Safari”, then select “Preferences”.
  2. Select the “Advanced tab”.
  3. Enable “Show Develop” menu in the menu bar.
  4. Select “Develop”, then select “Empty Caches”.

Safari for Windows:

  1. Open the gear shaped settings menu in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select “Reset Safari…”.
  3. Check the box for “Empty the cache” and uncheck all other boxes.
  4. Select the “Reset” button.
How do I download Office products?

Rowan-Cabarrus provides access for students, faculty and staff to use Office products online and install Office products on up to 5 personal devices.

Office products online:

  1. Log into your student email account online (Office 365).
  2. At the top-left corner of the screen you’ll see an icon that resembles a rubix cube, select the “icon”.
  3. It will then display all of the available applications accessible through Office 365.
  4. Select whichever Office product you wish to use.

Install Office products:

This installs the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Skype and OneDrive.

For Students:

  1. Log into your student email account online (Office 365) on the computer where you would like to install the Office products.
  2. At the top-right corner of the screen you’ll see an icon with your initials or a profile picture, select the “icon”.
  3. In the menu on the right, select “My account” under the profile heading.
  4. At the top, choose “View apps & devices” under the Office apps & devices heading.
  5. Choose the version (32 or 64 bit) you want to install, then select the “Install Office” button.

For Faculty and Staff:

  1. Log into your student email account online (Office 365) on the computer where you would like to install the Office products.

How do I add credits to my ECOprint account?
To add credits to your ECOprint account, please visit or call the Technology Services Desk located in the Library at North or South Campus. The IS Help Desk cannot accept payments.
